How to Select a Juicer – Type Of Juicers

By: Jenny

Important Criteria Used On How to Select a Juicer

For as long as I have been doing the best juicer reviews the one thing that most of the clients and customers have always asked one single question over and over and that has something to do with how to choose a juicer which is, is there anything like the perfect juicer? This is a question that I have not been able to answer comprehensively because the perfect type of a juicer depends on an individual. However, I went through the trouble and dug into my long experience with juicers to come up with a way that would allow you would be able to get a good juicer for yourself. How to Select a Juicer

Type of juicer:

Ideally, there five types of juicers that you can get in the market. However no matter what the best reviews say about a particular type, you should know that your usage and the time that you’re likely to be using it will highly determine the type of juicer you buy. There are the centrifugal juicers that are notorious for their pace, larger mouths and are at times easier to clean depending on the make and model. There are also the Masticating juicers that are ideal for juicing leafy greens as well as vegetables and are able to extract more nutrients. The triturating juicers are the Cadillacs of juicers and cost a lot more.

However, they are very efficient both time wise and in their extraction. The other two juicers are the wheat grass and citrus juicers that are meant to only juice those two foods and fruits. Now that you know the type of juicers that you will meet in the market, here are some of the other things that you should consider before you get a juicer.

Nutrient value:

One of the most important factors that you should have in mind while juicing is the nutrient value. By simply juicing you do lose some value but you can salvage a lot by getting the right juicer. If you’re more hell bent on getting more nutrients in your juice, then the masticating and the triturating types of juicers are what you should lean on more. The two are also have a higher yield.

Produce type:

It is important to note that not all the juicers are meant to squash everything up. If you’re looking for something to juice your fruits, then the centrifugal juicers would be a better choice. Otherwise the masticating ones are better fits for the leafy greens and dry fruits.

Size of feeding chute:

Ideally the importance of the size of the feeding chute is that it dictates how much prep work has to be done. The larger the chute, the less the work that has to be done.

Time:

If you don’t want your juicer burning out, you have to consider the time that you will spend juicing. If you’re more likely to be juicing for more than 30 minutes, the triturating or twin gear juicers will be the better choice, if you intend to juice for short periods then the single gear or masticating juicers are better.

Versatility:

While it is important to pick a juicer that is able to fit your use, the use may change and that is why you need to pick one that is also able to juice other foods equally well. The triturating juicers even though more costly are a better fit.

Cost:

While you would want to buy the best juicer in the world, you have to keep in mind your financial ability so stick to your guns and buy what is most affordable to you.

Regardless of what the salesey best juicer reviews say, if you’re looking for something that you can easily clean the centrifugal and triturating models are easier to clean. With the higher price tag the triturating juicers also allow you to make your juice without having to wake up your neighbors. Now that is your ultimate guide on how to select a juicer.
