Omega J8006 Commercial Masticating Juicer Review

By: Jenny

If you’re interested in an efficient commercial grade juicer that you can use to make fresh juice out of fruits, vegetables and mainly leafy greens, we recommend that you take a look at the Omega J8006 Nutrition Center Commercial Masticating Juicer.

The Omega J8006 is a commercial grade masticating juicer that runs at a relatively low speed – just 80 RPMs. Most other commercial grade juicers on the market run at higher speeds (over 5000 RPMs). The relatively low speed of operation results in maximum extraction of nutrients present in the fruits and vegetables and a longer storage time (of up to 72 hours).Omega J8006 Commercial Masticating Juicer Review

Omega J8006 Commercial Masticating Juicer Features:

–       Masticating juicer with speed of 80 RPMs

–       Dual stage juicing system

–       Automatic Pulp ejection

–       Quiet operation

–       Easy clean up

–       GE Ultem Auger

Pros of Omega J8006 Commercial Masticating Juicer

– The Omega J8006 is a juicer whose motor processes at low speeds (80 RPM). Most other juicers in the market have motors that process at higher speeds (over 1000 RPMs). The low speed motor prevents oxidation of juice, protects and maintains healthy enzymes and allows the juice to be stored longer (for a period of 72 hours) which isn’t the case with centrifugal juicers that operate at high speeds.

– One of the main reasons why the Omega J8006 stands out from other juicers in the market is that it makes use of the GE Ultem Auger which is 8 times stronger than most other plastic augers. Most juicers either make use of steel based augers or melamine augers.

Steel based augers are known to oxidize their juices (which is something you don’t want). Melamine is a material that shows up in clinical tests as protein but is actually a very common ingredient that appears in contaminated animal food from china (making it unsafe). The GE Ultem Auger is stronger and safer than all the others.

– Like most other masticating juicers, the Omega J8006 uses a dual stage juice processing system that consists of two steps: extraction by crushing and squeezing.

The fruit or vegetable is crushed and the maximum amount of juice possible is extracted. And then just before the pulp is ejected, it is squeezed. This results in more juice and a very dry pulp.

It doesn’t matter if you’re juicing fruits, vegetables or leafy greens. You’ll get the maximum amount of juice possible with the Omega J8006.

– Clean up is relatively quick with the Omega J8006 and some of the parts can be washed on the dishwasher. In the end, you’re left with massive amounts of compost that you can use for your garden.

– Most juicers are known for the great deal of noise they make while running. When compared to most centrifugal juicers, the Omega J8006 is relatively quiet. The noise is so low that you can actually have a conversation in the same room while the unit is running.

Cons of Omega J8006 Nutrition Center Commercial Masticating Juicer:

– The Omega J8006 Juicer has a relatively small chute. So if you’re juicing hard fruits and vegetables, you’ll need to chop them down into smaller pieces before feeding them down the chute. It does take a couple of minutes to do that. Slicing is essential when juicing harder produce if you want best results.

– It’s not instantaneous like it is with the centrifugal juicers. The centrifugal juicers take less than a minute to juice. The Omega J8006 being a low speed masticating juicer takes longer to juice. But you’ll certainly have more amount of juice with the Omega J8006 than you would with the centrifugal juicers.

– If you’re looking to make juice for loads of people, this isn’t the juicer for you. The cup isn’t big enough to make juice for more than two people. It can make juice for one or two people at the most. If you want more, you’ll need to juice multiple times.

Conclusion:

To conclude this Omega J8006 Commercial Masticating Juicer Review, if you’re someone who’s into juicing fruits, vegetables and mainly leafy greens, this is the juicer for you. The Omega J8006 commercial masticating juicer ensures that you get the greatest amount of value from your food.

It extracts the maximum amount of juice possible and is the ideal juicer for all kinds of fruits and vegetables (provided you have the time to let the juicer juice through the veggies and fruits completely). It can also be used to make peanut butter, soy milk, grind coffee and mince herbs and garlic.
